On Tuesday the 24th we traveled from Dushanbe to Khorog. It was 19 hours by car, going high up into the mountains. Packed 5 in a car it was quite cozy. The road was alternately paved, stones, and dirt. No matter what the surface there were always lots of potholes. The road twisted and turned around the moutains and up and down the valleys and passes. This is the main road from China to Dushanbe and points west and goes along the Afghanistan border.
